Frequently Asked Questions

+ Do I need an appointment to try on wedding dresses at Elite?

Yes, in order to give you the full attention of our experienced consultants, appointments are necessary.

+ How long is my appointment?

Dress appointments 1.5 hours. If you are doing an alteration fitting that will take about 1 hour.

+ When is the best time to start shopping??

Its best to allow 4-6 months before your wedding to order a dress. That means you will want to start shopping at least 6 months in advance.

+ What is a special-order dress??

Most of the dresses sold at Elite Dress Bridal are special-order. A special-order dress is made specifically for you by the designer, based on the measurements we take from you, the designer then uses their size chart that is closest to your measurements to create your dress. In most cases an alteration is necessary to fit the dress to your body shape and height.

+ Can I customize my wedding dress? Example: add sleeves?

Yes, almost every gown at Elite can be customized for an additional fee. Please, consider booking an appointment with our wedding dress and fashion designer.

+ What is your price range?

Our prices start at $1,500 and range up to $8,000. On average our bridal gowns are in the $2,000- $4,000 price range. Off-the-rack samples run on sale from 20 to 60 percent off.

+ What sizes do you carry?

Most of our sample dresses are in the wedding dress size 14. Please note that a wedding dress size 14 is equivalent to a street size 10. Our consultants are experts at clipping and pinning to ensure great fit. Overall, we carry size 4-20.

+ How do you determine which size I will order?

Once you have chosen your dress, your bridal consultant takes 3 or more measurements typically, bust, waist, and hips. The dress is ordered from the designer according to your largest measurement, then to ensure the perfect fit our seamstress will alter the dress at your fitting appointments.

+ What should I bring to my appointment?

Please be sure to bring the following: budget parameters, pictures of dress inspiration, any bridal accessories like shoes or veil (if you already have them), proper undergarments (if you plan on wearing spanks or strapless bra, please bring them) and most importantly don’t forget to bring an open mind! Do not be surprised if you find “the dress” on your first visit to Elite Dress.

+ How many guests am I allowed to bring?

We can comfortably accommodate up to six guests along with the bride to support her with "Yes to the Dress" decision. You may also video chat with off-site friends or family members and you’re welcome to use our complimentary Wi-Fi on your device.

+ May I take pictures of the gowns while I try them on?

Yes, we encourage pictures! Do not forget to use #Elitebride if you choose to share!

+ Which designers can I find at Elite?

Besides a few private label designers our wedding dress and fashion designer Nata Bindas created her own wedding gowns collection now available at Elite Dress Bridal boutique. While working on wedding dresses design, Nata considered all the details the brides were looking to have on their dress. She took into account multicultural differences and preferences of each ethnic group.

+ What should I bring to my first fitting?

You should bring the shoes and undergarments you will wear on your wedding day in order to have your dress properly fitted through the bodice and hemline. If you do not have your shoes, we will have to reschedule your dress fitting.

+ How many fittings will I need?

Typically, bride need about 3 fittings to ensure proper fit. After the final fitting, we will steam the gown for you and make it ready for you to pick up!

+ Do you have an in-store seamstress?

Yes, we do have an in-store professional wedding dress seamstress as well as a wedding dress designer to customize or design a dress according the bride's unique style and preference.

+ If my wedding is postponed, how does this affect alterations?

Many weddings are being reschedule and we promise that we will accommodate you and your new wedding date. Please keep us informed as to your change of date if there is one. Call (253)236-5964 or email us at info@elitedressbridal.com

+ Should I be worried about my dress arriving on time?

At the time of purchase we will give you an ETA on your wedding dress order. Production times vary between 3 to 6 months depending on complexity of the dress and a wedding season. The wedding season usually falls between May to October, with the peak months being May, June, September, and October. Most designers need 5-6 months for production that falls on busy season. If we need more time to fulfill your order than given ETA we will notify you immediately within days of placing your order. If you didn't hear from us please, have a peace of mind, and wait the date of your dress ETA.
